Navigating Kauai’s North Shore presents unique challenges due to narrow roads, extreme terrain, and limited parking options. While initiatives like the North Shore Shuttle have successfully highlighted specific problem areas and offered effective solutions, there remains significant room for improvement. With the support of legislative funding, we have engaged the expertise of Fehr & Peers and PBR Hawaii to conduct a comprehensive study of traffic patterns and parking habits on the north shore. This study aims to identify further opportunities for enhancing mobility and safety in our community.
